How to Print a Test Page
On Windows 11, open Settings, Bluetooth & devices, Printers & scanners, choose the printer, then Printer properties and Print Test Page. On a Mac, use Print Center, then Printer, Print Test Page. To test quality rather than the connection, print a test pattern from this site or the printer’s own quality report.

What a system test page proves
The driver is installed and the computer can reach the printer. Microsoft describes the Windows test page as a way to confirm that Windows can communicate with the printer.
What it does not prove
Print quality. It has little color and almost no solid areas, so clogs, banding and misalignment slip through. Use a quality test page for that.

Which test page should I use?
- Nothing prints from the computer: print the printer’s own status page first. If it prints, the printer works and the problem is the connection or driver.
- Prints, but looks wrong: print a quality pattern such as the color test page or your printer’s print quality report.
- Prints the wrong size or off-center: use the print size checker.
- White lines or gaps: run the printer’s nozzle check and read it with our nozzle check reader.
